ABOUT THE ARTIST:

I am an Iranian visual artist who is researching and studying pre-existing natural spaces for performative arts. Recently, I received my PhD degree from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts DLA school.  During my study at DLA, I started to experience the unconventional environment in my art practices. Performing in metro line 2 in Budapest (“The Mirror”, 2019) also performing in the street in front of my previous building (“280 Days” 2020), as well as, creating video art entitled (“14 Days”, 2019) shot in the Hospital´s room, are parts of this journey to explore the relation between audience in non-theatrical environments with performance. My thesis entitled: “Community, Place and Environment in Ritual Performance, Specifically studies the relation of place, Environment and community in Persian Passion Theatre and Artus studio´s Ephemeral works as case studies”
